"All parts and accessories came securely boxed and clearly labeled. Instructions where a breeze. Measurements are clear and easy for the DIY! I leave the mount in the down position as I don't use the fireplace and don't like looking up at the TV over the mantel. The mantel mount is easily adjusted and can be lifted in place with little to no effort. The only negative for me is the pull handles that help you lift the mantel mount up and down over the fireplace mantel. They are only long enough to mount under the TV. For instance, using my sound bar flush against the TV doesn't allow for the pull handles. They must go between the TV and the soundbar. Looks horrible and I just don't have the room above the mantel. I only have 39" which was exactly the amount of space I needed to clear the mantel and mount the sound bar. Its not a big issue as I leave the TV in the down position. I did subtract a star for lack of flexibility here. The XL SB (soundbar mounting hardware from Mantelmount) is awesome. Mounts my Yamaha YAS 108 soundbar flush against the bottom of the TV. Looks amazing! If your like me and your not willing to look up over the fireplace to watch TV then the 340 should fit your needs. I was good with not having the 8 degree tilt down. Also, it does not bother me to see the black mount (I believe the 540 gives you the covers). Its all preference and what works for you. Getting it refurbished at an unbelievable price was a bonus!"
